A Tribute to Peanut
This little bunny rabbit had more personality that most people.
He was my furry little pal that will be greatly missed by all the family.
Below is an image that will link to a few images taken over the last five years.
These images do not bring out the true karma that this rabbit emitted.
The story of his last few days is below the image.

He was taken from us very unexpectedly by complications resulting from a broken leg.
See this bunny liked apples and carrots and other
vegetables, but he would tear your arm off if it were in between him and his
raisin nightly treat.
His “sweet buck teeth” were biased toward his favorite
treat, raisins.
I am not sure what he loved more, raisins or being petted.
He
would run to the cage as he heard the refrigerator open and the raisin bucket
shake at bedtime.
The wooded floor in the room where his cage resided was
slippery for the bunny paws and nails that were suited better for the 200 MPH
runs on the family room carpet.
On the fateful night at about
As he turned in front of the cage door, his hind feet slipped as he
fought for traction.
Continuing to run and slip, he almost made the ramp door
when he stopped running and stood there in a ball of fur.
To my shock, he pulled his right rear
leg lame up under his stomach.
My senses told me this was not right and I went
to the floor to see what the matter was.
He limped under the desk to hide
instinctively.
Bunnies have more than enough power in their rear legs to break their own bones. Later we would be told he did. The femur.
He was one not to be picked up and held, so when I was able to just
hold him I knew he was really hurt some how.
I wrapped him in a towel and held
him on the couch for 30 minutes before he wanted out.
He sat on the couch next
to me being petted until we could go to the vets.
My wife called during this
time and contacted the vet for the emergency appointment.
We left him over night for the results in the morning. They were bad.
After brave and skillful attempts by many to save him, in no fault of anyone, he sadly did not make it.
The family wants to thank everyone for all the efforts given to Peanut during his time in need.
He personality will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
